Nando’s is the place to go, not only do they have delicous food but the warm and inviting atmosphere allows you to relax and unwind and enjoy your meal. The staff are friendly, food is great, service is fast, everything is just lovely

This store is a short 8 minute walk up from Old Street station amongst other eateries and opposite a Bavarian beer keller which looked very tempting. The store was quite empty when I arrived and there is a large hole at the front which allows natural light to drop down to the basement below. The seating looked smart and it was quite a spacious store with bright colours.

The 28th RYN reviewer event at the new Old Street branch was my first Nando’s 2016. Back in the day, I used to work in this area. Seems that since I last passed through the place, it’s been bulldozed and rebuilt beyond recognition (at least on the Nando’s side of the road). The restaurant itself is striking from outside, with fancy light fittings and swanky architecture visible from the window, facing on to the stairs and down to the basement area, where we were seated.

RYN28BringAMate was a very enjoyable evening that saw 17 members of the RYN community check out the very impressive Old Street Nando's that opened in December. This is a funky Nando's with lots of different colours and styles spread throughout the restaurant which has a fairly large downstairs area with lots of comfortable sofa seating and an amazing Barcelo design on the wall.

A new Nando's in London is always an exciting event, and this was no exception. Of course, the decoration was pristine, and there were some intriguing artistic details, the highlight being a giant Nando's cock made of balls of wood. We were sat downstairs, though there is an atrium-style opening which makes it feel less enclosed.

My first RYN dinner for a good few months was a rather pleasant one...

Easy to get to if you're coming from Old Street station (national rail or nothern line) just a 3minute walk. You can also walk from Shoreditch High Street (London Overground).

We visited the very recently opened branch of Nando, in Old Street, for the RYN reviewer dinner.
Our allotted space was in the basement section of the branch, with two tills situated at the back.
After our raffle, and free starters of wing roulette and hummus, we headed off to order. This caused a slight queue at the tills, for obvious reasons. One of the very enthusiastic and helpful staff suggested we head upstairs to place our orders, as it was quieter up there.
