Wimbledon - Ryan Review
Having not had a Nando's for a few weeks... and having run just had a 2-hour training run... a Nando's was surely in order and a short drive to Wimbledon soon gave me the fix I needed! :-)
I parked at The Broadway car park, which was reasonable priced at 50p/30 minutes from 8am-11pm Mon-Sat, £2.50/Sun and free outside this time. This is also just a very short walk to Nando's from here. The car park is next to the New Wimbledon Theatre as well, so you are bound to get a good night's entertainment. There is also an Odeon IMAX a few minutes walk back towards the train/tube/tram station.
I arrived at about 9pm and the restaurant had just a handful of tables in use both downstairs and upstairs. Downstairs, this really is a plain restaurant. An average mix of bench/tables/chair seating with very little decor of interest. Upstairs is a nice high wood-pannelled pitched roof for the ceiling with some chandeliers hanging down from them for nice lighting. Toilets were also upstairs and normal decor, but very clean. Overall avergae for the decor.
The food came in just under 5 minutes and, maybe due to a lack of Nando's for a few weeks, it tasted delicious. A very generous portion, smothered in sauce, very well cooked and hot and moist all over. A nice tasty big portion of chips too - meant this was a delicious meal!
Staff were doing as expected.
