I am extremely disappointed with the experience we had at Nando’s today. My daughter, who has a serious nut allergy, placed her order separately—as we always do—to ensure her food is handled with the appropriate care. However, when the food was delivered to our table, her meal was mistakenly given to another child in our group.
When she raised this with the manager, their response was completely unacceptable. They dismissed her concern and simply stated that the food had been delivered to the table, showing no understanding of the serious risk involved in food allergies. This level of disregard is deeply concerning.
As a result, my daughter did not eat the meal, yet she still had to pay for it. This is incredibly poor service, especially considering the known allergy. At other Nando’s locations, allergy orders are always handled separately and delivered directly to the individual, which is the correct and safe protocol.
This experience has shaken our trust in Nando’s handling of allergy-related meals, and I hope you take this feedback seriously. I expect a formal apology and reassurance that staff will be retrained on proper allergy protocols to ensure this doesn’t happen to another customer.
