This Nando's is right in the town centre of Sutton and is just a few yards from Sutton train station (it is just a few shop-fronts away). West Sutton station is also only half a mile away. Being in the town centre, there's plenty of other eateries etc and also an Empire Cinema only 1/4 mile away.

This may definitely be one to get to by train in the evening, as driving I found it difficult to park. I followed the signs to the main sign-posted car parks (this was at about 9pm) Brighton Road and Times Square, but there were closed, so am not sure of the opening times for these. I ended up parking on a road by a park (Manor Park Road) which was a mixture of permit holder spaces and pay/display parking. The pay/display bays only charge between 8am and 6:30pm, so parking was free for me - and was then only a few minutes walk away.

Got to the branch at about 9:15pm and was just under half full, so no time to queue for food and the food came in just over ten minutes. The food was nice too. A good sized portion of chips and rice and a nice hot, moist, well marinated portion of chicken. It really was delicious, with the only very small downside being the chips were in between warm and hot, so just the 4.5 for this delicious meal. I had a huge portion of olives too!

The branch was okay too. There were tables/chairs seating in the window and then further booths and tables/chairs in the front section of the restaurant. Some of the booths' upholstery has probably seen better days. As you go towards the back, the branch becomes narrower so only just room for a two seater table either side of the walkway - with a further larger space for a bigger party at the very back on the slightly raised section. There were five deifferent styles of lighting - from red lattice lampshades in the front windows, to conical shaped jars, old warehouse style lighting and further silver domes right at the back. The only issue with this, is that a lot of the lighting wasn't on. Not sure if it was broken or off on purpose, but it could have made the branch a lot brighter. There were also about 8 canvas paintings running along the right/back wall with a much larger single canvas painting right at the back on the raised section. The toilets were spick and span and very bright, so I think overall, this probably avergaes out to a 4 for decor.

Staff did the minimum to get by.
