This new store in Southampton is in the leisure extension of West Quay shopping centre where there is already a Nandos in the food court. Reminiscent of Metro centre in Gateshead where 2 Nandos are so close, and this is in addition to the quite close Guildhall Quarter Store which opened last year. This store is far better than the other West Quay store in every way. Don't follow the map too closely as will take you to the wrong place being a new build, in fact both RYN and Nandos website maps put it miles out of Place! It should be just North above the Quays Swimming complex . We parked in The Quays swimming complex car park off Harbour parade Rd, then walked along the recently pedestrianised Western Esplanade below the old city wall and past the construction hoardings that still surround the site. Parking is just 2 quid aftrr 6pm. The Store is internally accessed on the upper floor.

My freind was treating me to my 301st Nandos and even let me have all the Points! The store is open to the centre a style I don't like but we were able to sit at the back and it felt like it's own store. They even have their own toilets unlike the other West Quay store which makes you walk to central public ones. The Loos are upstairs very clean with giant terricota stone sinks and strong smell of freshly sawn wood as you head upstairs. The seats and tables were colourful, a little tight together and our table rocked on the uneven floor.

The staff were really friendly and polite and a treasure to meet.

We had a verrible feast of food:- houmous, halloumi, whole chicken large peri chips and garlick bread. Most was OK but. The pitta with the houmous was dried out and stale so didn't puff when they heated it, the chicken was charred with a missing wing from one of the breasts which really annoys me and final let down was the chips were over cooked.

So in short the store was smart and tidy, very friendly staff just let down by the food which I hope is just teething troubles.
