Portsmouth - Anonymous Review

I recently visited Nando’s with my family and my elderly father, who is over 80 and suffers from arthritis. We were greeted by the manager, Jess, who told us there would be a 20–30 minute wait, which we were happy to accept. However, we were then told we had to wait outside.
Because the temperature was below zero, I asked if my father could wait inside while the rest of us waited outdoors. There were empty seats in the waiting area, but we were told there was “nothing” that could be done. No effort, no empathy, and no consideration for a vulnerable elderly person in pain.
I was shocked by the lack of basic customer care. We’ve never experienced anything like this in any other restaurant — including other Nando’s branches — where staff are usually understanding and accommodating.
Very disappointed with the service and the management decision here. Nando’s should do better when it comes to supporting elderly and vulnerable customers.
