Park Royal - Gerry Louis Review
This was my local Branch at one point maybe four years ago as it was a ten minute drive or bus ride from work.
In the Park Royal complex there is a KFC, chiquitos, Pizza Hut, Burger King and a Chinese buffet place I forget the name of. As well as arcade games there's a bowling alley, pool tables and a Vue Cinema boasting 14 screens. As I live near Feltham now, it's all about the cineworld.
Got there after half five and the car park was nearly full. There is a larger car park down the far end of the complex but it's a bit of a walk to wherever you had wanted to go. No queue as we got inside, half the front door was boarded up, and we were given a booth right by the tills. This branch is sort of split into three sections. The first as you come in of tables for twos and fours and two booths at the back. To the left are tables of four going around the edge of the restaurant with booths for up to a skinny six down the centre. Then at the far back are some extra tables in a section which can be cordoned off or used for larger parties as witnessed today.
Quarter chicken mango and lime, sweet mash and peri chips all arrived within15 mins and again the chips were in a bowl. The food was hot, though chicken skin was a bit burnt. The mash was tasty without additional seasoning but I think they scraped me out the bottom of the pot as there was a crispy edge around one side... Did not ask which portion for the quarter I wanted so it is some branches that do this although it is a good practice.
It's fair to say there's Not much decoration in this branch as there isn't much wall. There are huge urns with sticks in scattered about the place and hanging light fixtures but nothing that stands out. It is an older branch so may need some investment, the toilets were not bad and out the back, out of the way of guests.
