It was quite a trek from home to here – by public transport, and it’s situated on a retail park, so not the most picturesque location. It’s stuck right on the corner & I couldn’t see any other food outlets apart from Costa, so I would imagine it may get extremely busy during peak hours. Apparently, there is a MacDonalds close by, but I couldn’t see any evidence, so it must be hiding.
The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. Some of the female staff members seemed to be wearing updated uniform tops? Now with added braiding, very smart…….
It was probably one of the hottest days of the summer and it was roasting inside. I realise that air-conditioning is not normally required here in ‘sunny’ England, but surely some kind of cool air ventilation would be common practice?
My food arrived very promptly. Everything was nicely cooked and nicely presented. Just one slight criticism…….my sweet potato mash was a bit watery around the edges. My chicken was pleasantly spicy. My dining companion requested her coconut gelado before her main course. This seemed to cause some unnecessary confusion.
No loo rolls in my toilet, just a minor niggle, but quite annoying. Not sure how often these things are checked, but maybe more frequently?
