O2 Arena - Damien Review
As the service in the O2 Harvester was abysmal, we instead decided to go for a quick meal at the Nando's. It was a Saturday afternoon and there was a gig on in a few hours, so all the eateries were bustling, as Nando's was no different. As always with this place, we were greeted at the door and pointed to the stairwell, where we were to make our way up and be greeted once again and shown a table at the top. The place is quite cosy and insular, considering the building that its located inside, and everything seemed clean and tidy, though we were sat at a wet table.
The restaurant was pretty busy, with a few groups of loud, excited teenagers. While I was being served, some kids started shouting at the member of staff taking my order, asking questions about the menu ("What's gelato?" "Ice cream fam? Izzit?"). The guy serving me actually paused my order process to reply to these rude queue-jumpers. The food took a little while to come out and was good, but the chicken was significantly less spicy it should have been. Either way, it was still enjoyable enough.
The only thing that really let this visit down was the staff not even attempting to control the badly behaved groups of young people, who eventually started chucking chips at oneanother, over an unrelated table of diners. When we left, there was a queue of around 40 people waiting outside. I guess we picked the right time to eat! If you're in the O2, hungry, and don't mind a bit of noise with your chicken, pop along to this Nando's!
