Nandos 153 was a Lewishambles!

We got there at 14.40 with some help from the locals due to roadworks outside the Lewisham DLR station messing up my sense of direction (cough). After entering the branch it was 7/8 minutes of waiting at the door for someone to come greet us. By this time I would normally have picked my own table, but there was a large group of 10 as you entered and I wasn't sure which tables were free. After Monique finally came over, she let us have table 5 on the first floor section by the window. It's by the cutlery and drinks machine area and unfortunately I had a draft on my back from the water/ice machine...

I waited for Jackie to return before going to order my meal. As I waited in the queue and was next in line, the one person on the till decided to take a telephone order, then disappear for about ten minutes. It was 8 minutes in that someone else decided to come over to take my order and the queue that had built up behind me. But why at 5pm on a Saturday was there only 1 person on the till area?

Food arrived in 9 minutes which I was shocked at. Two 1/4 mango and lime chicken legs came out with peri chips and garlic bread. I lost my first chip when the new girl put the plates on the table, then lost a few more when I tipped out the chips onto my plate from the green bowl. Plenty of peri salt, the chickens were great though one tasted hot and nearly burned my mouth. I think I let the garlic bread go warm and hard to bite but no real complaints about the food.

Tables a little too close together and I saw the new girl serving a gelado without the container.. Not very appetising looking in all honesty. The ladies toilets are a) hard to get into, the heavy door not swinging without pushing really hard, b) cubicle difficult to get into and close the door behind you, and c) had a hole in the wall from possibly being kicked in. Who knows why.. Refurb needed for this branch.
