PLACE: Table 16. When it comes to eating chicken, you can't go wrong with a big square room. Compared to the confusing W-shaped King's Cross Nando's (which actually put me off my eating stride), this 'straunt was a relaxing shape to dine in. The lofty double height ceiling gave the ritual a sense of prestige and the chilli lights from Middlesex Street made a welcome appearance- 7/10

SERVICE: Host 1: Alexia. Cashier 1: Helenita. Host 2: Weverson. Cashier 2: Leticia. Woah, I think I got served by the whole team, which served as a fantastic opportunity to evaluate how consistent the training level is across one restaurant. And consistent it is! The Nandocas were all very similar in their serving style to the point where I can't really differentiate them in memory, although I remember Helenita being quite hot. Congratulations to the manager, you have a great team and definitely no Nanduds- 7/10

FOOD: My food was not of a standard that this restaurant would be ashamed of- it would definitely pass a head office food quality check. But you could tell that the chef had no personal trademarks to stamp on the food. For example, no chopped pineapple or grill-lines on the pitta- so it was nothing special. One mark deducted for the poor quartering of my second chicken order, he chopped off the oyster! 6/10

COMPANIONS: I spent the evening with Marc, James and Adam from RateYourNandos.com and it was so exciting to meet people who share the same amount of peri-passion as me, or dare I say, even more! We talked for hours over our refillable soft drinks about everything from the sacred bird to the peculiarities of various Nandstraunts. They had so many Nandotales like when they had to trawl through the Zimabawe phonebook to get the addresses for all of the Nando's. Or one anecdote which had me laughing for 2 days came from James, he told me how they once visited a Nando's that had very limited parking spaces so it took them ages to find a place to park- an amusing adventure! I'm sure this isn't the last time I see these fellow chickenheads- 9/10
