Visit Time: 7.45 - 9pm (approx.)
This particular Nandos' experience was absolutely outstanding for the following reasons:
- Our small party of 3 were seated quickly despite the restaurant being busy.
- Our table was immaculately clean (no sticky glass rings of greasy finger marks).
- Service at the point of ordering to receiving our meal was smiling, courteous, patient and wholly professional.
What added that extra touch for an outstanding experience was how the manager of the restaurant (Olu) dealt
with a minor matter. Our 3rd portion of medium hot wings had not been delivered with the rest of our food.
However, Olu made the biggest though most earnest apology. He also offered us a free item off the side menu; also
explaining that we could alternatively have a free drink, if we preferred. He compensated us extremely well and made
two visits back to ask if everything was ok with our meal.
I personally praised Olu for his admirable level of service and mentioned the high level of service from this branch of Nandos generally. He then nonchalantly commented about his high expectations of all his staff. I sensed that he would be an excellent manager with superb interpersonal skills: He would be able give positive though strong direction whilst also being sensitive and supportive towards his staff. Olu is certainly an asset to the Nandos company.
