Edinburgh - Lothian Road - Anonymous Review

Camzo was a lovely staff member who greeted us warmly and offered to seat us in a booth. However, our experience was quickly soured by the manager, Peter, whose behaviour was shockingly unprofessional. He interrupted Camzo mid-service, abruptly closed off the booth area, and insisted we sit at the front instead.
To make matters worse, he publicly scolded Camzo in front of customers for simply trying to do his job, which was both uncomfortable and embarrassing to witness. We also saw another pair of customers who tried to sit with their friends at the back, but Peter stopped them, claiming the area was closed, and made them sit separately at the front. Throughout our visit, he continued to speak to customers in a rude and passive-aggressive manner, making comments like “wait at the sign, like it says,” instead of offering polite guidance.
This isn’t an isolated incident, my friends have visited before and were not surprised by his behaviour, as they’d previously seen him being rude to both customers and staff. It’s such a shame, because the rest of the team (especially Camzo) clearly work hard to create a welcoming environment that’s completely undermined by poor.
