Eastleigh - Marc Joss Review
Remarkably this Nando's hasn't been rated since 2011 so what better way to start 2015 than by visiting ahead of the Southampton Arsenal match?
As it was New Year's Day, parking was simple and we parked in a bay right outside the Swan Centre for free. The restaurant section is outside and upstairs and there's a cinema next to Nando's too. This is one of the more modern Nando's with a large front allowing for plenty of natural light to enter. Some funky artwork including a tribal statue that stands just by the upper part of the seating and circular sky lights lined with empty bottles of Nando's sauce make this a 5!
Food arrived swiftly for 4 out of 5 of us while the fifth member of the party had to wait slightly longer as his order had been misplaced. It was very tasty, but not spicy enough for me. The latest sauce delivery had failed to deliver meaning some sauces (such as garlic) were in scarce supply, not the best start to the new year. Maybe that explains the tiny dab of mayonnaise I was given in a plastic pot, who knows?
All in all this was a good pre-match Nando's as it's only a 15/20-minute drive to St Mary's. Well worth a visit for the decor alone.
