Cardiff - St Davids - Victoria Ashley Review
Nando St David
A friend and I were in Cardiff doing a bit of Christmas Shopping. After all day shopping we felt a little tired and hungry. We decided to stop at Nando’s St David’s Arcade to have something to eat.
It was only 7 O’clock in the evening. As soon as we walked in, the waitress told us that they have run out of chicken high, no rice and no garlic bread left. That was a bit of a disappointment.
The waitress then showed us to our table. We choose to sit outside so that we can enjoy the Christmas decorations. There were lots of bright lights an lovely decorations at the St David’s Arcade.
We looked at the menu and off course were really disappointed because we were going to order the new no bone chicken platter but we cannot because they have no chicken thigh left. So we ordered our usual chicken platter with a large portion of chips and two bottomless drinks. Being an NHS worker I got 20% discount.
The food did no take long to arrive. It looked delicious and smell good. The chicken was succulent with just the right amount of spice. The chips were crispy and piping hot. I also ordered a coleslaw as a side dish.
The restaurant looks clean and well decorated, with painting on the walls and plants on the sides. The music was loud but delightful. It made me wanted to get up and do a Sambal Dance like those competitors on Strictly Come Dancing. The waiter
was polite and attentive. He keep coming over to see if everything is Ok for us.
The car parking is no different from any other restaurants in the city. Very difficult to find anywhere to park and is expensive. We were lucky that we were staying in the nearby hotel so we park our car in the hotel car park.
We have enjoyed the shopping and our chicken meal. We will definitely come back again. We will try their Boneless platter next time.
