This Nando's is on Bishop Auckland Retail and Leisure park. It's anchored by a big The Range and Home Bargains - but has fun looking Kosmic Kingdom and a Game On that sadly I didn't have chance to go into. There are hundreds of free parking spaces offering parking up to four hours. It's slightly south of the town, so is a 2 mile walk from Bishop Auckland railway station.
Arrived here early afternoon and there were only a handful of tables in use and seemed quite quiet. It's a relatively new Nando's so is bright, colourful and clean. The main seating area downstairs has these very colourful shallow cone light shades. There's also a little mezzanine seating upstairs where the toilets are.
I went for a normal chicken burger and chips - and it came in just under five minutes. It was very nice as well. Very juicy and succulent piece of chicken. A reasonable size portion of chips - but they were all hot and crispy.
Staff were pleasant and in abundance, so was checked on multiple times throughout the meal and even had my water refilled for me.
