Basingstoke - Ryan Review
It's in Festival Place. Well sign posted and a multi storey car park. Go for zone C as this is the nearest pedestrian exit to the restaurants. Parking is only £1 between 6pm and 6am. There's a Vue cinema as well as dozens of shops and eateries.
Got here at 830 on Thursday night and it was rammed. Luckily I was on my own so got a small table in the outside seating next to a pillar but groups of 4, 6 and 8 had a wait of 20 minutes. I say outside, but you're under a huge canvas thing.
I had an 18 minute wait to queue for food and this was followed by only a 5 minute for the food to come!
The branch is long and three tables wide. A mixture of booths and tables/chairs across the whole restaurant. About 10 tables outside and a further 35+ inside. On the left side wall inside - all the way along are dozens of large bright canvas paintings. Wooden panelled waved ceiling and at least four different light shades/styles across the restaurant. Stairs up to the toilets had wooden carvings all the way up and were spotless - black granite and brown tiling throughout.
Staff were so busy they were doing the bear minimum.
The food was delicious. The rice was piping hot and very moist. The chips were straight out the fryer and the chicken was caked in sauce, piping hot and very succulent. Absolutely delicious!!
Oh, and 5 or 6 of the women staff were gorgeous!
