Basildon - Festival Leisure - Pompey Ranger Review
This store part of the festival leisure complex on the outskirts of Basildon and has a wealth of free parking which it shares with Empire cinema, Hollywood bowl and other eateries. The store has two entrances, one through a patio area with seating outside which is very welcoming, another from inside the complex by the cinema also through a external seating area this time inside the main body of the building but at least with six foot high fake foliage to at least obscure it from general view.
Inside the main body of the store is the counter straight in front of you. Seating is of table and chair kind and around the store. The sauce section is nice and tidy and had the containers all laid out. The staff were friendly and did all the normal checks. The chicken was missing it's skin which is a personal bug bare of mine and it looked a bit mangled, but the sweet potato mash was nice. The bread roll was cold and I would have preferred it warmed if only slightly above ambient.
The toilets could do with being cleaned behind the cubicle door as it seems they only ever clean with the door open.
