Another day, another Nando's, another RYN Reviewer dinner up in North Weezy London.
Busted my ass to get there on time and was thankfully not the last one to arrive and I sure pigged out there.
Waited until about 8 something to finally get to order after everyone finally arrived, seating organised next to my new Nandoholic buddy and leaving empty handed for the raffle. Ran ahead to get served 2nd thankfully (the queue behind me stretching round the side by the drinks machine).
I can't remember how long the food took to arrive but I was luckily not one of the last ones to get fed. Half a chicken mango and lime (not my orange reward), 3 wings, same flavour, sweet mash, garlic bread and 1 halloumi portion. If there's 20% off food then why not take advantage of it? I technically didn't pay for the extra wings so it was definitely something to party for. I was happy with most of the food, the chicken was hot, full of flavour, smothered in sauce, cooked well and tasty but the half chicken must have been from a teenage and not a full grown adult as it was very small :(... They were generous with the mash, it reminded me of Witch Mountain from that Disney movie a few years back. Very tasty and a nice, rich orange colour. just goes to show that Reading Friar Street could learn a thing or two from West Hampstead....
The halloumi was perfect, that was the first thing to be devoured. I was a glutton, it was really bad, but the mash with lemon and herb spread on top of the garlic bread was heavenly.... I was on the fence about ordering a caramel cheesecake but because Elliott's was hard in the middle I was glad I didn't order one... and he let me drink the cream, so I was a very happy kitty.
I didn't really pay much attention to the staff once my food arrived but I'm happy the opened the extra till to get all of us Reviewers out of the way. I think we actually scared a couple who came in but left as the saw the surge of people queuing up- oh well!!!
I always have fun at these nights. I managed to chat to a few more people than last time and my team came joint first for the Quiz with 16/20 points so I was glad to leave with a free bottle of sauce as I missed out at Baker Street..
I really didn't pay much attention to decorations though there was a huge urn next to me that kept making my black skirt dirty any time I walked past or brushed against it. there was also a huge portrait of kids at the back though their faces were covered in balloons which actually made it kind of funny like their heads were balloons... anyway, the toilets were okay as well and I managed to get away with a few more Nando's handy wipes that I've only found at this Nando's branch...

Til the next reviewer dinner.... tbc
