Time for #RYNSaucy17, and West Hampstead was to be the location.

The outlet is a short walk from West Hampstead Thameslink station (how I arrived), Overground, and Jubilee line stations. Buses also regularly pass by the front, however car parking appeared to be somewhat non-existent. After the short walk, I arrived at West Hampstead Nando's.

The outlet is quite small, and 'split in to three sections'. As you enter, the till and grill point is directly in front of you, with two tables to the left of the door. To the right, there are more tables in the window and against the wall. The cutlery and drinks area is on the right hand side of the till point, and leads onwards to a small elevated section, which is where #RYNSaucy17 was held. Toilets are on the first floor. Decor was a little dark in places, could do with brightening up, but overall not a bad outlet.

After the usual introductions, we met Barci, which I enjoyed, and had a suitable mug shot with Barci. Then the raffle began, where I didn't win a thing, which is a shame, although I'm sure the bag needed shaking!

After the raffle was over, it was off to order. There appeared to be a little bit of "firefighting" at the till, although to be expected when 26 hungry Nando's loving chicken heads descend on the tills. The order process was OK, although I was a bit annoyed I was 30p off gaining a chilli from my order. Order placed, I received my receipt (which had a "How was it for you" card stapled to it, which I didn't like), and went to obtain my drink of water. Sadly the glass was full of what I can only assume was essence of lemon, as there were lots of bits in the water. Chucked this away, and cleaned the glass, returning for a second attempt at the water. This attempt was successful, and I returned to my table.

Waited around 15 minutes for the meal to arrive, which isn't bad considering the rush we created, however I was a little disappointed. I ordered 5 chicken wings each spice (half a wing roulette!), spicy rice, and a side salad. The spicy rice was cold and a bit lumpy, the chicken was OK although the spices, except Mango and Lime, couldn't be tasted, seemed very "samey". The salad was ok, a little dry and not very crisp, but edible.

After mains, I quickly went down to order yet more Nando's, this time in the form of a caramel cheesecake! This took minutes to arrive (I had only just sat back down!) which was impressive. Sadly it was still a bit "frozen" in the middle, which made it quite tough, and not very enjoyable to eat. I left part of the cheesecake so it could "warm up" and finished it during the quiz!

That's right, the quiz. After a very intense time filling out the answers, rocking brains at anagrams, guess the location, matching maps, and scouring RateYourNandos.com, the verdict was in. We only went and (jointly!) won the quiz! :D

So after all the excitement of the quiz, meeting Barci, it was time to head home. Overall a good Reviewer Event, but the food was somewhat of a let down. Maybe next time!
