Ah i love the smell of free Nando's of an afternoon. A bon voyage party for my friend going off to uni brought me as an extended family member to the west hampstead branch. I used to frequent this one when i worked doze the road but haven't been here for a year. Got there late but the food had already been ordered so no waiting time and a table already prepared.
3 full platters of 2 medium and one hot chicken with peri peri chips and livers which unfortunately sat on a plate next to me. Special request made for sweet mash which was a meagre portion and lumpy. I was next to a nando's virgin who says she's been converted as i did preach alot giving her all my expertise on sauces and meal options.
That hot chicken was supposed to be mango and lime and the service was a bit lacking but i spent no money so i can't complain too much. Lack of art and decoration and not a large branch for parties its still a good place for a small intimate dinner. I managed to get away with 3 quarters of that hot chicken for breakfast and lunch the following day so that was great. I also need to mention that this branch has little Nando's handy wipes which excited me quite a bit. Managed to get away with about 10 of them in my pocket...
This branch is accesible by overground, underground and national rail services. Plenty of spaces to park if you can find one and buses from central london, or golders green or finchley. Right on the high street near pubs, bars and other restaurants West Hampstead is a pretty fine town. Rachel Stevens, Matt lucas and that bloke that's always in stuff but I never remember his name are also local to the area.
