Wandsworth - Ryan Review
This Nando's is in Southside Shopping Centre, so parking is plentiful and reasonable. Waitrose customers spending more than £15 get 2 hours (£3) refunded - otherwise it is £1.50/hr. Sainsbury's is opposite which also has a 2-hour stay car park at £1.20/hr and is refunded when spending £10 in store. Wandsworth Town train station is half a mile walk away.
As you walk up to this Nando's (on level 3), the entrance is nice and appealing: a big archway with arched panel doors and big hanging lanterns above the entrance inside.
There's a good layout and mixture of seats too. A raised section over to the right with booths dotted about the place. Upstairs there are a dozen or so extra tables looking down over the ground floor on the mezzanine section. There is also some "outside" seating... Overall though, it's a pretty standard looking Nando's - a lot of the old dark wood fixtures and fittings.
It was less than half full at about 8:30pm when I arrived, but the food still took 20 minutes to come - and it was as expected. An average size chicken fillet on the burger, enough sauce and an average sized portion of hot chips.
Staff were pleasant enough but doing as expected. Malin and Storm, not only having great names, were certainly tastier than the burger.
