The Walk at JBR - James RYN Review
My second Nando's of the day started with a bit of a long walk to try to find it from the metro station. Google Maps had me walking around the nearby residential blocks, but the restaurant itself was on the main road in the beautiful new part of the Marina - it has certainly changed a lot since I last visited the Marina in 2018. The restaurant itself is huge, with the largest outside area I have seen at a Nando's, plus inside downstairs and upstairs. Given the evening was a lovely 22 degrees, everyone dining was sitting outside.
Waiting staff were highly attentive and took my order quickly. The waiter was impressed I went to Extra Hot! He then asked a waitress to bring over a selection of sauces, which were duly placed on my table.
Food was a little slow to arrive, though this wasn't an issue given the pleasant ambiance of the restaurant and surroundings. When it came it was well worth the wait, with possibly the most delicious espetada I have experienced at a Middle East Nando's. I went for the new one with some local pistachio crumbs on the side, plus the usual cream cheese stuffing, and every bits was pure Nando's heaven. The chips were also perfectly cooked, and I went for a bowl of pre-cut sweetcorn, with a dash of peri-space added (the waitress was impressed with this idea), both of which complemented the espetada perfectly.
I left extremely satisfied! A well deserved 5/5 for food!
