Standards seems to be going downhill.
Got taken to a table which needed cleaning and wiping down. Asked to sit at a table which was still wet from the spray, I had to get napkins to dry wipe the table. I had kids with me, so waiting for the table to dry wasn't an option.
Waited 15 mins for service, long time considering there was only 5 people ahead me, then got to the top and told the till I was only accepted cards, problem with the till!!! For the kids meal, told can't have the endless yoghurt option, machine is broken...again!
Having placed the order, took my daughter to the toilet, (mens) and had to wait a few minutes for the toilet cubicle to become empty. Occupant came out after flushing, a employee going by the uniform, he went straight out without washing hands, ALARMS BELLS RING IN MY HEAD!!Toilet itself is looking a tad old and due for a renovation.
Downstairs, one of the kids meals arrive but not the order, so got one kid asking where her food is!!! Called a waitress over (Trainee in her 50s) and struggle to make her understand, asks me for the receipt , she get a broken pair of glasses to look at the receipt ( what is going on?) and she then has to take the receipt and asked someone what to do. Comes back and says there is any one meal ordered. Rather then waste my time, get hold of English speaker and explain, problem solved. Employees need more training here, certain European immigrants may work harder than local, but if they can't understand English, and don't follow basic hygiene rules, then expect customers to walk away.
Meantime, I see the uniformed person from the toilet, he is also a trainee, and seems to be behind the counter, though not cooking.
Kids not impressed with the Veggie strips and have asked not to go there again. They are vegetarians and preferred the bean burger before.
Other observations about the Uxbridge branch, music is loud, last time i sat upstairs, the sofa seats were danky.
So looks like Uxbridge is off my radar and Nando's is the kids radar.

The Manager rang me yesterday with my concerns and she sounded positive and reassuring. I feel my comments have been listened to and certainly the staffing issue tackled in a positive manner.

Hi John, very sorry to hear you had such a bad experience at Uxbridge Nando's back in February. My advice is to copy and paste your review on the Nando's feedback page on http://www.nandos.co.uk/contact and they will be sure to get in touch and try to resolve the problem (if it isn't too late!). Hope that helps!
