Thanet - Ryan Review
On Broadstairs retail park with several large shops (Matalan, Tesco, Pets At Home etc) a Vue cinema, Bingo and several eateries - with hundreds and hundreds of free parking spaces.
Good seating section outside - maybe 6/7 tables either side of the entrance. Not much to look at other than the front of Chiquittos. Setup is mainly for couples or fours outside.
Layout favours groups inside. Four square and round booths face you as you go in. On the back wall and left side wall is one long cushioned bench with tables and chairs making up the opposite seats. Two large groups of 14 and 16 were sat in these, so easily accommodated.
Decor is nice. Long thin tapestry on the left wall across the whole wall. 8 small canvas paintings on the back wall. 10 big square wooden panels in ceiling with the odd fluffy chandelier hanging from them. Behind each booth is a large pot or tusk. Toilets spotless.
Staff friendly enough but doing the bear minimum. Nearly full. No wait to seat or order but 18 minutes for food.
Food was okay. Only time I've had a bowl of only green olives. Rice was a little cold as were the chips. Chicken was hot - steaming hot, but literally swimming in grease... I thought it was alive! Slushing around the plate it nearly fell off as the cook was ever so gently trying to put the plate down to hide that fact.
