On arrival at the biggest Nando's in the world on its third day, I was not surprised to see a rather large queue at 7pm on a Thursday evening. Evidently, this branch isn't big enough and I must say it was the longest queue I have ever been a part of in Nando's. It wasn't helped by the fire alarm which went off downstairs, chaos ensued and the staff seemed unsure about how long it would take to get back under running (not their fault might I add) which meant they stopped seating customers for around 10 minutes. We were eventually seated and there was no queue to order as so many Nandocas were working behind the tills.

Food arrived soon enough and it was of the usual standard. My taste buds may have been tainted by the fact that it was my second Nando's of the day (a first for me) but I did feel some more peri spice wouldn't have gone amiss. Sauces and cutlery seemed to be available in abundance. One strange aspect of the meal was manager Monica's decision to replace my wine glass with a soft drink glass to use for my tap water. She was rather apologetic about it not that it had seemed a problem to me!

The staff were all very friendly and enthusiastic about the website. One Manager had already been in contact and regularly checks Twitter for updates, good to hear! We also had the honour of speaking to Adrian, patrao of East London, whose enthusiastic South African nature was a breath of fresh air.
One point to note is that this branch does not serve Halal chicken and the branch has gone as far as to print leaflets with information about other Halal branches in the area (you could of course check out our page!).

As for the decor, swinging silver lights dangle down from the ceiling creating a rather magical effect. It is a rather colourful branch with very high ceilings and impressive columns decorated with bottle caps.

The branch is right outside Stratford tube and National Rail so transport links are excellent with the Central, Jubilee and Hammersmith and City Lines all within walking distance. Westfield itself offers every major shopping chain in the country as well as Vue Cinema so the classic film and Nando's combination is very much a possibility here.

All in all, a good Nando's for day 3 after opening!
