TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!
I’m had a layover in London and thought it would be great to order some Nando’s to my hotel. THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY DESPICABLE.
Ordered it using their website which was a terrible experience in and of itself. It required me to input a phone number so I attempted to put my international phone number. That didn’t work so I inputted the number of the place I’m staying but no matter how many times I edited my profile the number change WOULD NOT STAY. At about profile change number 5 I gave up, and simply stated in all caps in the driver instructions to please call that number instead.
With our order placed I used the link that was emailed to track it but after about 30mins the site stopped providing me with updates OR the driver’s number. I didn’t think I’d have to save this random driver’s number but apparently Nando’s wants you do that!!?? Cause that’s definitely something someone who’s never been here knows.
At this point, I knew the delivery timeframe so I decided to wait in the lobby to just wait for the driver to walk in with my food. I stood there for 30 MINUTES AND HE NEVER CAME INSIDE!!!
Furious and quite frankly fed up with fucking Nando’s I decided to call their helpline (which was a nightmare in and of itself to find). And THAT BITCH was even LESS helpful and useful as that fucking driver.
Called, explained the whole profile/number debacle, explained that the additional comments very clearly stated to call a different number then stated in the profile, explained that I stood in the lobby for 30 minutes and no one showed up.
And YET I’m the one in the wrong??!!
The oh so helpful lady on the phone said the driver stated to have called the WRONG number (mind you, clearly ignoring the additional comments written in all caps to call a specific number), waited for “30mins” (which is bullshit cause I never saw ANYONE outside with food and I find hard to believe I somehow missed this man during the delivery window) and that she would not be issuing a refund as it was our fault.
Throughout the entire process customer help was RUDE, UNHELPFUL, and continuously talked over me and belittled me. At one point she started making fun of my accent by claiming to have trouble understanding me.
In all of my traveling I have NEVER experienced service so TERRIBLE. SO UNHELPFUL. SO UNPROFESSIONAL.
Don’t get Nando’s. You’re better off eating dog food then dealing with the idiots there.
