Met up with a mate for lunch. We were heading up from Aldgate East, from where it's about a 5-7 minute walk straight down Commercial Road (I did check, and you could also get the 67 bus). The Middlesex Street branch is probably the same distance away but it's a comparative maze to reach. This Nando's isn't in the Spitalfields complex itself but just by it, and next to Tesco. Shoreditch High Street is the nearest station

Large windows across the fascia of the branch allow for lots of natural light and there's a big space when you walk in, which was needed when we went as it was a busy lunchtime with the queue to order almost out the door. Annoyingly, not all the tills were open but the Nandoca on the door was good - he told us to get straight in the queue and he'll come over to give us our table number (which he did).

Food did take a while to come, again due to the time of the day, not too surprising. The drinks/service station is easily accessible just across from the tills - and it's pretty equidistant between the two distinct seating areas. We were in the front section while the back one looked distinctly empty (which was somewhat strange). There were plenty of sauces available although cutlery levels were beginning to dwindle.

Have to say, the food was outstanding. Halloumi was cooked perfectly, there was lots of peri salt on my chips, and my chicken fillet burger was spot on. I'd definitely go back to this branch - but not during the lunch rush (when we left, about 1.35ish, there was no queue to order)!

Photo of my meal is attached.
