Was around the Rotherham area for the weekend, so a visit to Meadowhall was always on the cards - along with this little Nando's.

Being in Meadowhall there are thousands and thousands of free parking spaces spread across many "Service Areas". If you want to park nearer to the food court then head for the signs that say "Oasis Dining Quarter" or "Oasis Cinema". Whatever you do, do not park anywhere other than in a bay. There is a vigilant clamping operation in use.

Arrived here at around 4:30pm on Saturday afternoon and after a stroll around, headed to Nando's at 5pm. There were a few people on the list ahead of me and so was advised there'd be a 15-20 minute wait, which ended up being just under 10 minutes. No wait at the till to order either.

This is definitely one of the smallest Nando's I've been into and so some of the tables are quite close to one another or tucked up against one of the pillars. 35 tables in total - all except three of which are tables/chairs (some high tables/chairs) - with only 3 tables in booth/bench style seating.

The food came in just over 20 minutes, which was fine seeing as it was busy, but I could see it was sitting under the heatlamps for 6 or 7 minutes, so it could have been quicker. I wish it had been too since the rice and chips were only a little warm. The chicken seemed to keep its heat fine, but it did mean it had dried out a little... and it had shrivelled up - but maybe that was just ecause it was a small portion :-) There was plenty of sauce on it though to balance out the dryness, but otherwise, this was pretty average.

The staff were friendly enough, but just doing the bear minimum to get the tables turned around in this busy period.

The decor was also very average. With it being so small and most of the wall space being glass windows, there wasn't much that could be done. There was a big wooden circular disc over most of the restaurant with some spotlights in it - but otherwise, one small canvas painting (above the booth style seating) and half a dozen sculptures/clay plates on the wall. Toilets were also standard - the beige slate/tiles.

Overall, this wasn't bad, just very average.
