Rochdale - Ryan Review
This Nando's is in the relatively new Riverside development which is also home to a REEL cinema. Cinema goers receivers 4 hours free parking (with validation) within the Riverside - otherwise the parking is priced at Mon-Sat 1hr/£1, 3hrs/£2, 4hrs/£2.50, 5hrs/£3, 6hrs/£5 and 6hrs+/£10 - Sun & BHs: £1.00/all-day. It's a half mile walk from Rochdale train station and just a couple minutes from Rochdale Town Centre tram stop.
Arrived here at lunchtime on a Thursday and it was almost empty. I think the staff were late starting their shift as one person just shouted "sit where you want" as I walked in and then wasn't checked on at all and one of the grillers actually served my food - which came in just under 15 minutes.
I went for the sunset burgers and chips. The chicken thigh fillets were juicy and saucy and piping hot. The chip portion was above average in size but all of them were pretty cold. If I had been checked on or had someone walk past I may have asked to swap them - but I had to get going anyway.
This Nando's is a bit of an odd shape in that it gets to this pinch point with the seating in the middle of the restaurant - and then opens up again with seating underneath a vaulted area towards the back. It's very colourful and bright.
