Putney - Ryan Review
As I was already parked in Southside car park at Wandsworth, I had less than a mile leisurely stroll to Putney Nando's. Otherwise, East Putney tube stop and Putney train station are just a few minutes walk away.
It was about 9:15pm when I got here and I almost walked past it as the "Nando's" and barci were not lit up outside. There was a nice round window above the entrance though with either stained glass or some metal work of a barci sailing on a yacht. How nice for barci!
Inside, it was so different to Wandsworth. It was nice and bright for one thing! Very light beige walls throughout. As you enter, the right wall is covered in canvas paintings from top to bottom - and right the way to the second floor and to the back. At the top of the wall is also a metal work piece of a barci.
There are three booths downstairs and another 10 tables or so. Upstairs are some more tables, all underneath a big bright skylight. Some outside seating too downstairs, but was a bit dark to see.
The food came in under 5 minutes and was superb. Another chicken fillet burger and chips - but everything was that bit better than Wandworth. The chicken fillet was bigger, thicker and juicier - and smothered in sauce. There was more lettuce and tomato and the chip portion was bigger and the chips hotter and crispier. Very nice!
