This was out first visit to Nandos so we weren't sure what to expect. I'm assuming that the decor (which we liked) is standard and the quality of the food (which we liked) is average for Nandos. The staff were friendly, but scarce, tending to hang out by the food prep area or hostess station. This was problematic because we received one entree in 25 minutes (a chicken salad with dates) and then waited and waited for the other entree. A staff member checked on us 10 minutes after the first entree arrived and then returned about 10 minutes later to say there was a problem with the receipts. She took our receipt and the second entree was delivered about 10 minutes later (a half chicken with mashed peas and rice). So that was a 25 minute wait for the first entree and a 55 minute wait for the second entree.

We liked the food, we just won't go to Nandos if we are particularly hungry because of the wait.

A bit more about our experience:
There is one bathroom for men and one for women. While waiting (just next to the food prep area) it is very clear just how long food sits before it is delivered to the tables. Suffice to say that food delivery from the prep area is not speedy and is not well coordinated. It looked like all of the customers were getting some entrees while they waited for others. Our experience probably would have been worse if our first entree hadn't been a cold salad.

The staff was pleasant and they did offer us a free dessert or appetizer because of our wait and the food was good. It just felt like there was no sensitivity to the way people eat together. Customarily, you wait until everyone has their entree. In this case, that was a very long wait with one plate of food on the table.

Finally, as noted in another review, even though the restaurant was not that busy, the wait for the restrooms was quite long. It's a bit mystifying why such large bathrooms only have one toilet, hence the long wait.
