Paisley - Ryan Review
Heading back up to Scotland, so a very short detour off the M8 took me to Paisley! This Nando's is located on the Phoenix Retail Park - which is about 1.5 miles from Paisley St James train station. There is free parking on the retail park... while there were no signs up immediately around the section by Nando's, I believe it's free parking for up to four hours, especially as there is a Showcase cinema on the retail park.
This is a brand new Nando's and it was very bright and colourful - with lots of turquoise and yellow inside - especially on the 50 or so, large wicker light shades across the front half of the restaurant and at the till/serving hatch, which is clad in yellow and turquoise tiles. There are booths at the rear, behind the sauces etc including a large circular booth in yellow leather at the back right. Toilets were clean and tiled in black and white.
Arrived here early during lunch on a Friday and it was very quiet with just a few tables in use (it had been lashing it down on the drive around Glasgow). It meant the food came in under 5 minutes :)
I went for a sunset burger and chips and it was delicious. The chicken thigh fillets were soaked in sauce and were piping hot (but just an average size). The chip portion was a good size and were all hot and crispy.
Staff were friendly enough and doing as expected.
