After finding Rate Your Nandos on Instagram and signing up immediately, I rushed out that evening to review my local Nandos. I am a student and have visited this Nandos on many occasions so had high hopes. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed. I feel like I should point out that in the circa 20 times I have visited, this was the worst visit I've had- sod's law isn't it?

My boyfriend and I arrived at just before half past seven for dinner and were told that the wait was FOURTY FIVE MINUTES for a table, I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks this is ridiculous and if I hadn't been craving Nandos, I would've gone elsewhere. Resolved on having Nandos, we agreed to wait for a table and went to the pub round the corner for a drink and returned in forty-five minutes. Not a good start to the evening.

Upon our return, we only had to wait a few minutes to be seated while they cleared a table. As we walked through the restaurant I noticed at least four dirty tables which had not been cleared. After we'd been seated I noticed that it was at least fifteen minutes before they were cleared- not very pleasant to look at.

We had a free whole chicken to claim, so decided to get drinks, chips, garlic bread, a Portuguese roll each and the red pepper dip- all of that for £12, pretty good value to be fair! We may have over ordered a tad but after the 45 minute wait we had got rather hungry by this point. Unfortunately there wasn't enough cutlery and I had to ask for some and there wasn't a great selection of sauces because many of them were still on tables that hadn't been cleared yet!

Our red pepper dip arrived quickly and we were about to tuck into it when our main arrived- quick service but a bit awkward when we hadn't started our appeteaser! We ate it quickly and this meant that by the time we got round to our whole chicken, it was a bit cold. It was also a bit burnt on the outside but tasty all the same.

All in all, I was very disappointed by my visit to Lincoln Nandos, it did not meet my expectations or the standard I expect from Nandos. I will return, and expect a better level of service when I do. Hopefully that will be a more positive review than this one.
