Islington

i came in at around afternoon ish and i was seated by this extremely lovely girl i believe her name was stephanie , she asked me if i have been to nandos before and asked me if i have any allergies and went through the ordering process with me . i ordered at the toll and it was her that served me again amazing customer service skills. the food came rather quick and it was beautiful tasted amazing aswell!!! will definitely be coming again!!!

I’m a regular at Nando’s Islington, tried the new halloumi strips , very tasty but a bit expensive for what they are. I like the butterfly burger I chose today but just a dry bun , I piece of lettuce and a tomato slice is a bit uninspiring for the garnish. Come on Nando’s spoil me with the garnish in my burger.

My double pitta pouch was a little bit soggy, but my fresh salad made up for it!

The drinks station down stairs doesn't have an ice machine and he cutlery was quite hard to see at first.

The exposed brick was a reasonable addition but almost felt like I was trying to hard to fit in with its surroundings.

Not the worst!

Quick review on RYN20 before I forget about it...

Great Nando's. I ordered a half chicken (medium) with creamy mash and garlic bread. Arrived within five minutes of ordering, staff very polite and attentive. The restaurant itself had a cool warehouse themed decor. Quality of food was very good.

I've never had to return chicken before and i hope this is the first and last time. I'll get back to that in a minute though.

Got out at highbury and islington station and if I'd known how far the walk was i would have taken the bus down there. As a pointer turn right out of the station and follow the road down for ten to fifteen mins. I had to use google maps becaise the numbers just didn't make sense but it's probably better to exit from Angel which I had trouble getting to.

Onto my second Nando's of the night and this took me to Islington, which was a bustling place even at 10pm. It's about a ten minute walk up from Angel tube station or from Essex Road train station. There's plenty of parking around, especially on-street bays, but it is very expensive during the day - scandalous infact, but from 6:30pm-8am all on-street bays are free to park in, or £1.30/hr (6pm-8am) in the Business Design Centre car park.

Went for lunch today, had chicken avocado salad and it was rotten. Vinegary dressing and a tiny chicken breast that was dry and flavourless despite choosing a medium peri peri sauce. I had to finish my two year old daughter's meal because I was still so hungry. What made me particularly angry was the waitress walking off and ignoring me when I complained. There is HUGE competition in Islington, so don't treat your customers like that.

Other than the lack of forks and sauces this place is awesome. Located very near to the cinema Vue it is a great place to head to after a film, especially when you just spent nearly a tenner at Vue. Their loyalty programs show they are caring and want their customers back. Very easy to get to from Angel station or the bus 4, 19, 30 and 43 which conveniently stops very near the Nandos anyway.

Came in hoping for a very quick lunch and wasn't disappointed. The service was quick, and the staff helpful. The food was nothing spectacular, though, and sadly there was no extra-extra-hot sauce available, which was a let-down, although a member of staff was on hand to bring me some from the fridge, which unfortunately meant it was cold and didn't go so well with my meal.

Although it took a few minutes before we were seen to on arriving at the Islington branch, the 5 of us did not have to wait for a table on a lively Thursday evening.
The branch is a 5 minute walk from Angel tube and ideally situated if you happen to be going to a concert at the O2 academy after (which we were doing) as the walk is long enough to digest but not too long to be a strain (7-8 minutes).
