Hammersmith - King Street - Ryan Review
What better way to chill after a marathon than a Nando's? Headed to this one on a Sunday afternoon. It's only a five minute walk down King Street from the other Nando's in Hammersmith - which means it's also only five minutes from Hammersmith tube and rail station.
There are four tables outside, but it's horrible, so head inside. To your left as you enter there are a few high seats in the window for breakfast bar seating. There are some tables round to the right and towards the back, but they're all a bit cramped together as this is a pretty small Nando's. It's got a very industrial feel, with lots of bare brick walls with paint thrown up them, steel girders on show, exposed wires dangling down and air vents on show. The lighting is all grey metal shades in circular chandeliers, or long thin strips - is scrapyard chic a thing? Toilets are at the back and patterned in black/white diamond.
There were only a few tables in use and the food came in just over 10 minutes. I went for a half chicken with chips and rice. It was a bang average standard - chicken was an average size and cooked well enough - not very juicy but not dry. The chip and and rice portion were an average size and the chips weren't hot and crispy but fine, likewise the rice was fine.
Staff were friendly enough, but doing as expected.
