Farringdon - Elliott Review
One of the newest Nando's, and right on the doorstep, so an after work visit was arranged with fellow reviewer Gerre
I ordered a 1/4 chicken mango and lime with chips and fino-slaw which is a new side dish. The chicken was cooked well, and coated in an abundance of sauce. Chips were good, and the fino-slaw quite interesting. It's a collection of seeds and lettuce, drizzled with salad dressing. I would certainly get this again as I quite enjoyed it!
As the new menu has some different Gelado options, we decided to try them. I had mango, and Gerre had Coconut. The mango certainly wasn't that great, seemed to just be water with mango flavouring added. However the coconut one was much nicer, with bits of coconut included within it.
Staff were great, spending a lot of time with us, to recommending Gelado flavours and wanting our opinion on them.
This Nandos is brand new, and as a result is very clean, and also has some rather impressionable decor. The outlet itself is quite small to the eye, but can seat a reasonable amount of diners as it also has a downstairs seating area. The upstairs seating is in an L shape, making it appear smaller than it actually is. Till and grill are along the right hand wall, with toilets downstairs.
Nice little outlet, not so busy during the evening, however it does get very busy at lunch times due to the location in the city.
