This Nando's is located on the Gyle Centre just west of city centre and just inside the bypass. There are thousands of free parking spaces for up to four hours - and the centre has its own Edinburgh Tram stop and is just a 0.25 mile walk from Edinburgh Gateway railway station. The bus stop for the centre is also right outside Nando's - so don't worry and think people are queueing out the dorr for Nando's... they are likely just waiting for a bus!

Arrived here mid-evening on a Friday and wassurprised at how quiet it was with less than half the tables in use. Staff were all chipper.

This is, currently, the newest Nando's to have opened and it certainly feels clean and bright. It's very well catered for many larger groups as there are several large circular booths - all with a very interesting large circular lighting display above them making them look a bit like a UFO :) Lots of bright canvas paintings all around as well.

I went for a butterfly chicken, chips and rice. It came in around 2 minutes before I'd even managed to get a glass for water... so you never know if the chicken is finishing on the grill and straight to a plate in perfect anticipation for the orders... or if the forecast is way off and it means a piece of chicken has been sat under a heatlamp for a while... and sadly on this occasion it was the latter. It was so dry and so chewy, no amount of sauce could make this feel succulent. It was like chewing a piece of old worn out leather. The chips were a wee bit soggy and cold too. The rice was nice. Never mind.
