Ealing - Bond Street - Gerry Louis Review
We were supposed to going for dinner/dessert at Tinseltown but realistically Zara knew I wanted Nando's. A last minute change of venue took us to the Ealing Broadway Nando's branch.
I had no waiting time cos coming back from the library, Zara had already been given a table. The restaurant was half packed and we were given a window seat on the right hand side of the room.
Unfortunately for Zara this branch is not halal so she could not have her normal meal of chicken whatever so she went for a portobello mushroom pitta and chips. The ordering process was a bit long as the queue goes out into the restaurant and blocks the staff members bringing food out to customers. Also you get people bunched up together by the plinth/ columns near the counter which can be quite uncomfortable. Quite a few people waiting to order, but a third till was not opened at any point.
Half chicken mango and lime with sweet mash and garlic bread came within about 12- 15 minutes which is average, though Zara's vege thing took quite a while to turn up. My food was great, and I hate seeing people eat salad and green stuff near me so I couldn't wait for her to finish the pitta thing. At one point she had some brown stuff oozing out of the pitta and I had no idea what that was.
Food was great, good service all round, nice friendly staff. I didn't look at decorations and I didn't use the loo, but they need to sort out the queuing operation.
