Croydon - High Street - Elliott Review
The Croydon outlet is fairly good, and one that is easy to reach but also provides an excellent service.
We waited around 10 minutes for a table, in what appeared to be the most disorganised queueing system ever. However, that aside, we were shown to our table and then placed the order. This was quick and efficient, much what I like to see!
The meal arrived after not very long, and it was most enjoyable. I ordered the churrasco thigh burger mango and lime with Peri-chips and salad. The burger was wonderful, with drippings of sauce all over the thigh. There was a large amount of fino-slaw in the burger, and the Portuguese roll was nice and soft. The chips were good, and the salad crisp. A nice and enjoyable meal.
The outlet is not that big, but they have packed in the seats to get as many people in as possible. This did mean we ended up talking to a fantastic lady next to us about Nando's, and what makes a good visit. Of course the RYN flag was flown and she was introduced to the website and explained what we do - If you're reading this, I hope you signed up!
The decoration and cleanliness of the outlet was quite a let-down. The toilets were flooded, there was a lack of cutlery, and generally it did appear to suffer from being too busy.
The staff were great, providing endless entertainment throughout the evening.
The outlet is located slightly off Croydon high street, close to the tram and bus stops. There is a Wetherspoon next door, and retail outlets further in to the town. Easily accessible from East and West Croydon stations.
Overall a good and enjoyable visit, and would come here again!
