This was my 1st Rate Your Nando's dinner, and it was great to finally meet everyone that I'd heard so much about!!
It's quite a tricky branch to find, and is actually nearer The Strand than Covent Garden. Thank goodness for the helpful chap at Covent Garden Tube Station, otherwise Gerry & I would probably still be wandering around.
From the outside it looks weeny, but has a massive eating area downstairs. Some very interesting "artwork" especially over the cutlery station.
General confusion when ordering, sadly....... no discount applied & when I queried this, the cashier was extremely unhelpful.
I ordered my usual Sweet Potato Mash & was told it was the last portion, but when the food arrived they'd served me the Sweet Potato Wedges as a substitute. Not a serious issue as I'd wanted to try them for ages, but feel I could've been forewarned. Are they supposed to be cold????? The rest of my meal was very nice but still not spicy enough for me.
The manager came over towards the end of the evening & explained regarding the discount issue. He agreed to let me buy a bottle of sauce at a cheaper price [so my 'friendliness of staff' rating may be a tad harsh].
