Colchester - Tollgate - Anonymous Review

Poor experience ( lately it seems to be this way ). Been quoted 45 min wait ( family of 3 ) . Surprised to see how many empty tables in the restaurant and staff telling walk in customers 45min -1hr average wait list . I did challenge with the management - Larrise and Crystal . Larrise was very rude asking us to leave as one member of the staff felt unconfortable when I asked about managers name as we would like to put a complaint . Crystal was more polite and explained that the facto situation is based on the volume of deliveroo and collections that take priority over walk in customers otherwise her staff will be overwhelmed with the orders and they try to catch up . But if this is the case what’s the point on having to ask walk in customers to wait for 1hour with plenty of empty tables available only to be fooled ?! Found this management style very poor . If not capable to fulfill all of the orders and also eating in restaurant then they must look for an alternative career . Not going to visit again this restuarant . Town centre and Ipswich are much better managed .
