Catford has been home to my most local Nando’s for a fair few years now. I’ve sadly never had a good experience at this branch, which is why my last visit was a whopping five years ago. As we’d finally reached it on our list, I swallowed my pride and decided to once again give it a chance.

Catford Nando's visit was simply wonderful. The food was delicious, staff were great, and in really nice surroundings.

I arrived and was welcomed immediately, being given a pick of the tables. I selected a booth (right hand wall) rather than one of the normal seats which take up the remainder of the seating space. I placed my order, which was navigated with speed, and returned to the table.

Another Nandventure happened to come on the day of the launch of the new Nando's menu which included chicken drumsticks and the fillet steak pitta or wrap with chargrilled veg!

I met up the next day with the people I was working with and they asked "where did you go last night?" "Bromley", I said - "oh right, some nice parts of Bromley", they replied - "Oh, and Catford" I added. At this point their faces dropped. It says it all really - and it genuinely does sum up Catford... Anyway, it was a fleeting visit to tick off another Nando's.

this is less than 10 minutes from the train station but is also great for parking your car, its on the main high street so is easily located.
the restaurant was not that full, it was about 8pm so we were seated quickly and didnt have to wait.

This Nando's on the main strip in Catford doesn't look the most amazing from the outside, but I feel that sums up the whole of Catford. It's well connected for the bus routes and is just round the corner from the Broadway theatre so provides excellent opportunity for pre-show chicken. And they have made a big effort with on street beatification with 2 large tubs containing trees either side of the doorway.

Catford Nando's is a very small and fairly local restaurant, with a core base of regular customers.
The food is as expected, and the service times are seldom offensive, but the general apathy of most of the staff leave the place vastly wanting.
A woman who works in there most days generally grunts, tuts, and rolls her eyes as communication, and has a look of sheer disgust on her face all all times.
