We were travelling back from Pembrokeshire to Oxfordshire and stayed over one night in Cardiff. My partner is Vegan and I'm Vegetarian and so eating out can be 'fraught'. We also have a small dog who comes everywhere with us. The Old Brewery Quarter Nando's had outdoor seating but inside a mall (if you see what I mean). It was a perfect seating area for us and the dog. I went in to order and the staff couldn't have been more helpful when I asked if the vegetarian burger was vegan. They went to check and came back saying the burger is vegan but the bread roll contains milk. They offered this information without being asked about the bread as it didn't occur to me. Most impressive. We had the rice, macho peas, burger cut up as fillets and with a very tasty sauce on the top, chips and mash. A great meal for non-meat eaters. Well done Nando's!
