Working in Cardiff for a week let me sample the delights of a couple more Nando's - and I was very impressed with this one in the Brewery Quarter!

Locals may know the parking around here better than myself, but I parked in St David's shopping complex (fairly expensive) and had a short walk into the town centre.

I arrived at about 6pm on a Friday before driving back to Brum and it was almost empty, so I was seated straight away. Only the upstairs was open as it was so quiet, which was a little shame as apart from having very little atmos - downstairs seemed to have more character on the walls.

The staff were very welcoming though. I'm not sure if it was because I was eating on my own or it was so quiet for a Friday evening... but the three members of staff couldn't do enough to help me. I think they felt sorry for me as I even got a red pepper dip for free! :-)

The food was great too - piping hot and covered in sauce, the spicy rice was cooked just right - no chongyness (is that even a word?) and the chips were great. It really was a nice surprise especially after the horror of St David's Nando's...

Good stuff!
