Bromley - Ryan Review
In Kent for the evening, so a little drive up to Bromley! This Nando's is opposite The Glades shopping centre which offers parking at £1/hr, but the car park generally closes at 7pm each day. There is a Sainsbury's just round the corner from here which offers two hours free parking with a £5 purchase... so I drove round a couple of side streets and found street parking which normally charges Mon-Sat 8:30-18:30 and Sun 10:00-17:00 at 50p/20mins, £1.50/1hr up to 2hrs max... but seeing as though I arrived after 8pm the street parking was free.
Bromley North train station is only a five minute walk away so may be best to use this. There's an Empire cinema just a couple hundred yards down the High Street from Nando's too.
This Nando's is just one shop front wide but does go back a little way. It's in three sections with tables/chairs in the window at the front, three booths set back in the wall in the middle by the till/sauces etc and the back section up a few steps so slightly raised, with all table/chair seating. The back section is under a skylight and also has some patio doors which can open up with a few more tables outside. The decor overall is okay. The booths are nicely decorated and there are a handful of canvas paintings on the walls. The toilets were upstairs and the stairwell had a skylight too - but a standard Nando's here.
As it was around 8pm, it was a little quiet, so pretty much had my choice of tables and the food came in 6 minutes. As this was my first of two Nando's tonight I had the chicken burger and chips - and it was a standard Nando's. The fillet burger was a standard size - didn't quite fill the ciabatta and had a sufficient amount of sauce and the chips came as a standard size portion and were hot enough.
Staff were doing everything as expected.
