Having never had the Nandos experience before which may surprise a lot of people especially as I have three older daughters ages 19, 25, 28 who absolutely rave about the place I decided to give it a try. Us four girls were enjoying some retail therapy at The Mall Cribbs Causeway Near Bristol so it was easy to park and free all day. We had been shopping for several hours so we were all feeling tired and hungry when we decided to stop for Nandos in the food area of the Mall which is quiet upstairs and totally away from the shoppers. It was early afternoon so fairly quiet but can imagine the restaurant would get very busy weekends. We were immediately greeted by a well spoken lad who asked us if we had been to Nandos before. I did find the ordering confusing and was glad I was in the company of regular customers who directed me to the bar and to the knife and fork place. Having said that, nothing was too much trouble for our waiter for the evening and I felt I could have asked if I had been on my own. We ordered the chicken platter twice and two sides each. The food came piping hot and the whole meal was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the fries with piri piri salt and the endless drinks to cool the palate. We did not have a pudding as we were too full which is surely a plus for choosing Nandos in the future. I will be returning as I enjoyed the laid back easy atmosphere and would love to try out other dishes on the menu. A very satisfied novice to Nandos.
