Bexleyheath - Gerry Louis Review
I didn't think any branch would be as bad as Stroud Green but I found it in Bexleyheath. I don't even want to write this review so I'm gonna keep it short if I can, everything was so disappointing.
Right in the middle of town in the shopping district, this branch is easy to find. Just opposite a really huge wetherspoons, the town was quite lively still at half nine. Eight minute bus ride from Bexleyheath train station, then a 2 minute walk from the last bus stop in Firswell street on the B15. Well lit from the outside but gloomy inside.
2 minutes for someone to come greet and give a table. Poor queuing system meant we waited nearly ten minutes to get served because they weren't paying attention to who was waiting and others pushed in ahead of us. The girl came to the till, served my friend and then went off again. Also there's no decent waiting area so there were 8 police officers just milling around in the way.
About ten minutes after ordering, Eloise came to our table and asked what we had ordered as there is food waiting there but they don't know whose it is. Isn't there a reason why we give them our table number? Twenty minutes after ordering my food arrived warm and tasteless. 1/4 chicken small and dry. Peri chips in a bowl? Warm. Sweet mash bland. Garlic bread was okay.
The table next to us was dirty when we had arrived. It was over half an hour later they had decided to clean it. They were not understaffed. Another lady came over to ask if we had finished with the sauces although they hadn't come to check on us at all? Why ask for sauces when there are four dirty tables surrounding us. The toilets were dirty as well.
Minimal decorations here. 3 portraits on the back wall and a recurring circular thing that sort of looked like a flat blowfish near the front and upstairs where the toilets were far, far away. Also it's nice to know they've got a new activity book to keep the children entertained however the information in it is incorrect. Yes I know not for adults who would spot these mistakes.. Anyway...
