Stopped off for a coffee and a sandwich at the M40 Beaconsfield Services - imagine my surprise and delight when I found they had a Nandos. Goodbye Starbucks Flat White and Cheesey Marmite Toasted Sandwich!!!!!
An unexpected, impromptu Nandos is always something to be encouraged in life. The staff were friendly and the butterfly chicken with chips and coleslaw was perfectly acceptable Nandos fare without being outstanding in any way. The wait time was a bit longer than usual but just as I was about to start asking questions the food arrived. Perhaps because I decided to forego my usual hommous starter and was dining alone the wait time seemed longer than usual?
The atmosphere is perhaps not the best - you can't help but notice you are in a motorway services with lots of other people but try not to let that put you off. As a travelling salesman I personally would welcome more Nandos in Motorway services across the UK!
With its Nandos, Marks and Spencer food shop and a JD wetherspoons all under one roof I may have to consider returning to this services more often!!!!
