This Nando's is located above a Wetherspoon pub and housed within the same complex as an Odeon cinema - and, judging from this Tuesday evening, is certainly the place of choice for all cinema-goers.

It's in the City Centre, so follow the signs to this and Southgate parking an you'll be fine. If you arrive after 6pm, as I did, you'll pay £1.50 up to 8pm, when the parking is then free right up to 8am - so very reasonable. Southgate is a five minute walk away.

There is 'outside' seating (inside the complex) of about 16 tables, that is sectioned off from the complex's foot traffic by lots of greenery - dozens of large plants/shrubs to try and add an element of privacy. Inside there are a further 30+ tables. As you enter to your right are booth seating with full length glass mirrors in them - and to your right, a large open space infront of the drinks machine/sauces and cashier desk, and beyond that plenty of chairs/tables. Also one very long bench seat that can accommodate 20+ people or be split into 8/9 smaller parties.

Of all these tables maybe 60% were taken, so there was no wait for a table at all or to queue for food. I got to site around 7:45pm and after this it probably went to 95% full. Food came in just under 15 minutes too.

Gave me chance to scope the decor. Extremely high ceilings with large wood-panelled arcs - and long wicker style lampshades suspended from them with plenty of other spotlights made it nice and bright. Each side wall (in table chair seating) had plenty of artwork on it. Canvas paintings on one with the other a sculptured feature wall. In the booth seating, the side wall also had large canvasses too. Toilets were also immaculately clean, as was the branch in general. Very nice.

Food was great too. Very large portion of olives. Rice was just right - and the half chicken had two very meaty piece - cooked to perfection and dripping in sauce. One very small issue was the chips weren't very warm. Still, a fantastic piece of chicken.

Staff, although not unfriendly, did nothing more then serve us and collect our plates.
